What is coaching?

Rooted in our Conscious and Connected ethos, life coaching is a supportive partnership that helps you cultivate self-awareness, reconnect with your inner self, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Drawing from the International Coaching Federation’s (ICF) definition of coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximise their personal and professional potential,” we blend this with the evidence-based principles of Acceptance and Commitment Coaching.

Together, we combine psychological insight with a holistic view to align your thoughts, emotions, and actions with your values and purpose—so you can build balance, fulfillment, and a life that feels truly connected.

My Approach to Coaching:
Acceptance and Commitment Coaching (ACC)

My coaching is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Coaching (ACC), the practical coaching application of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — one of the most evidence-based psychological models, supported by over 1,440 randomised controlled trials.

As an Assistant Psychologist, I trained in and delivered ACT in both individual and group sessions, supporting people with long-term health conditions. I quickly saw its transformative power — how accessible and effective it was — and realised its principles could benefit every area of life. This drew me to coaching, where ACT fits perfectly.

I combine my clinical ACT experience with formal life coach training from The Life Coaching College to deliver supportive, values-driven ACC.

How ACC Works in Practice

ACC builds psychological flexibility: the ability to notice and accept difficult thoughts, feelings, and sensations, while taking committed action guided by your values.

Rather than fighting discomfort or waiting to feel ready, we focus on practical skills to:

• Spot when unhelpful thoughts hook you

• Make room for uncomfortable emotions without letting them control you

• Clarify your core values

• Take small, consistent, values-aligned steps — even on difficult days

This helps you move toward a more conscious and connected life, starting now.

How We Work

At Consciously Connected, we offer personalised one-to-one life coaching using an Acceptance and Commitment Coaching (ACC) approach. This evidence-based method helps you build psychological flexibility — the ability to be present with difficult thoughts and feelings while taking committed, values-driven action.

Sessions (typically 6–12 over 3–6 months) blend reflective practices such as values clarification, self-awareness, and self-compassion with practical tools including mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and sustainable habit design. Everything is tailored to your unique goals — whether you want general life coaching or more focused support.

Before we begin

We will begin with a brief, friendly phone call to explore if we’re a good fit and to understand your goals. From there, we’ll decide together on the best way forward, tailoring your session plan to suit your individual needs.

Before your first appointment, I’ll send a short questionnaire to help you reflect on what you most want to gain from our work together.

How often do we meet?

Session frequency depends on what suits your needs best. Most clients begin with weekly or fortnightly meetings to build momentum and support meaningful change. We regularly reflect together and can adjust the number and spacing of sessions as needed throughout our work. After a program, many continue with monthly or quarterly sessions for ongoing conscious connection.

Most people find that coaching is a one-off investment in themselves.  When you consider the impact of not feeling that you’re not on the right life path, coaching might become a necessity, not a luxury.

My Approach

I take a person-centred approach, whereby I bring a warm, kind, and compassionate presence to every session. I create a completely judgement-free space where you can explore openly and feel truly heard.

I meet you with genuine curiosity and a touch of humour, while also being direct with compassion to gently challenge and support your growth. This helps foster personal accountability and meaningful forward movement. While our conversations may sometimes feel therapeutic as we make sense of things, the focus remains firmly on creating positive change.

We collaborate closely to identify what matters most to you and agree on clear, personalised action steps. I’ll support your progress with resources and reflections between sessions. Appointments are available via Zoom or in-person in Melbourne.

Above all, I’m here to help you connect more consciously with yourself and the life you want to create.

  • With three years working as an Assistant Psychologist in a hospital-based clinical and health psychology service, I supported individuals facing the psychological impact of long-term health conditions. I delivered one-to-one psychological interventions, facilitated group programs, and collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs).

My training and experience include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), CBT principles, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and other evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches. Alongside my clinical role, I worked as a research assistant at the University of Liverpool and the University of Lancaster, where I contributed to and published psychological research. This keeps my practice firmly grounded in evidence and the latest insights from the field.
